		<description>Many good points made in this article.  It is a sad day, and the Stupak amendment was a Pyrrhic victory at best.

The worst part was the statement in the letter that abortion coverage could still be obtained as easily as it has in the past.  The letter&#039;s wording implied that this is a good thing, rather than the abomination before God that it truly is.

What&#039;s more to say is that the Bishops are wrong to promote socialized medicine even if it were totally correct on the question of abortion.  The bill is still an evil scheme even if abortion were totally off the table.  Which it isn&#039;t.  And before the battle is over, it will be back on the table as much as ever.  Partly because of obfuscation from the USCCB.</description>
