Larry, your words rang so true regarding voting Democrat "because their parents did, and their grandparents". My husband and I have run into the same issue with his grandmother. She has voted Democrat her whole life...her entire family has. But if we ask her about specific positions of the Democratic party she will always answer in a way that shows she doesn't agree with them. Yet we can't get her to stop voting for them! We've gotten to where we try not to discuss politics OR religion with her since she's also not happy that my husband (her grandson) converted to Catholicism almost 10 years ago.

Ah yes .... Senator Lautenberg - from my beloved home state.

I wish the people of this state would finally wake up and open their eyes. They vote Democrat unceasingly, regardless of the cost to Life. They vote Democrat because their parents did, and their grandparents did, and ..... They go to the voting booth without thinking for themselves.

They go to the booth thinking that their "local" Democrat vote has nothing to do with the National Democrat party - and they use the Cuomo excuse, "Personally, I'm against abortion, but .....". If only enough Democrats would finally say to the National Party, "Enough is enough."

I did, I left the Party - they don't represent me any more.
