Wow! I am a member of the “Army of Oppression”! All the good things the Knights do get swept under the rug because of their steadfastness on this issue.

Funny how those who want claim to desire tolerance and equality, are at the same time, very intolerant themselves. I have never “gay bashed” in my entire life; but have personally felt the ugliness of anti-Catholic bigotry.

I do not believe in oppressing any people of any sort; but that also does not mean that I have to be forced into accepting their lifestyle as “good and wholesome”.

Your response to Jennings about how he came into the world would have carried a lot of weight in a prior generation, but now with the advanced biotechnology available in which babies can be conceived in test tubes and two lesbian women can “parent” a baby through artificial insemination (using artificial sperm and eggs made to order!) the only arguement left is that the biological dimension of human origin needs a female host once the sperm and egg have been successfully united.

By the millions, we must contact our congressmen and let them know we don’t want government run health care and we don’t want them polluting our children minds. We don’t want a nanny state dictating our every move. I feel like I have awoke to an alter world where everything that was good is now considered evil and all that was evil is now considered good… unfortunately this is not a bad dream.

what do we need to do to impeech the rotten sc justices? have any ever been impeached in past?
those people who attacked supporters of the war in iraq and afghanistan bear special responsibility for this and ongoin abortion. they put obama in power, already one extreme sc justice appointed…

Thank You for this article and for your steadfast stand for heterosexual marriage and family life promoted by the Catholic Church. We need to bring Professor Charles Rice and other experts in the natural law forward. Many natural laws are broken and being replaced by human law which is absurd. Thanks also to Sean above for pointing out the common sense that Jennings came into existence by a Father and a Mother! What is happening is a hijack of our laws and it is crazy but not shocking because the homosexual agenda has been growing for years along with their push for rights. Let us seek the Divine Law of God and pray for those who are going against God.

Part of the problem with the Constitution is that regardless of its language, its meaning is set and defined by the Supreme Court. And until some Supreme Court Justices get impeached and removed for redefining words and inventing whole clauses out of thin air (e.g., the precedent that the Constitution “casts penumbras, from which emanate” whatever “rights” the Supreme Court wants to enforce), there really is nothing in our system of government to motivate them to rule based on the language.

Don’t you Americans have a Constitution that guarantees the right to free speech, freedom of the press, etc? You need to prove that such laws are unconstitutional.

Next question: “Indoctrination in heterosexuality”? So just how the heck does this Jennings drongo think he came into existence? As long as he lives, he is living proof that heterosexual behaviour is superior to homosexual behaviour because homosexual behaviour could never have caused his existence, but the sexual act of a man and a woman caused his existence. The gay rights lobby has a problem with reality.

Is it discrimination to act in favour of real marriage? YES IT IS, but it is discrimination on the basis of the chosen actions of people, rather than on the basis of something that is intrinsic to their being. Think about it: The purpose of ALL GOOD LAW is discrimination on the basis of actions undertaken. What do I mean? If I murder someone, steal property, or break a traffic law then I am prosecuted on the act that I performed. The law discriminates there on my action. But if I am discriminated against because of my skin colour or my sex (male or female), then the discrimination is unjust (in most justice issues: there are some notable exceptions. A woman cannot be a priest, and I cannot play Othello because I am white -some of you may have seen the recent case in Australia regarding an act where blackface was used).

Laws in favour of real marriage discriminate on the actions of the people getting married.
