Another "sphere" is praying for many, many conversions within the medical field:

"'Stupak is ready to jeopardize the entire health-care reform bill to stand between women and their doctors,' Keenan claims."

If the doctors are pro-life--and by that I mean non-contraceptive, treating the woman with the dignity God gave her--if enough of them are so that it is "main-stream" and "normal" to practice medicine like that again--imagine the possibilities. Prayer, prayer, prayer, fasting, sacrifice, and gentle persuasion. That is how it will happen; I have SEEN it happen.

I hope that all of this is a wake-up call for physicians, especially Catholics, who perhaps quietly "draw the line" and don't refer for abortions, and maybe don't implant IUDs, or do tubal ligations, etc., but still prescribe the pill. Take the leap of faith! We are praying for you. GOd is with you. Be not afraid! We're not condemning you--most of us succumbed to this culture of death in one way or the other at some point--God will forgive and give you the strength needed to convert. God bless you!

"But I am eternally grateful to my friends in all the many spheres of our united pro-life effort." And we to are grateful to Judie and ALL for their leadership and ongoing encouragement.

I think the "many spheres" approach is key. I'm a stay-at-home mom and mother of 8 (newest one due any day, so please pray for me!). My lifestyle is very traditional for the feminine role in society, yet I have taken up the pro-life feminist cause because that's where I feel called. I also strongly advocate the personhood amendment movement. Both causes (pro-life feminism and personhood) strike at the very heart of what perpetuates abortion in our culture, at least in my mind. I also have friends who are midwives (avoiding the inherent pro-death trappings of an OB/GYN practice), friends who focus on legislation, friends who target that minion of the devil Planned Parenthood, etc. We all have to do our part and be active in the way in which we are called. Prayer is essential.

We will prevail. Truth cannot be defeated and truth is on our side. Babies are people and women deserve better than abortion.
