My lovely wife and I got married later in life. I was 41; and she is a couple years younger than I. I was 43 when we had our son and 44 when we had our daughter. And even though we're not "ancient" by any stretch of the imagination, we are older and health concerns prohibit trying for more. I know everything happened as part of God's plan; but I sure wish that He would have had us meet earlier in life! We both would have loved to have welcomed more children than the two we have. But we are grateful for God's gift to us; and consider ourselves very lucky indeed that He chose to give us the two wonderful children that we have.

Congratulations to the Mosher family and the Duggar family! As a single child who ended up with 2 beautiful daughters (out of 4 pregnancies), I admire families who can and will welcome newcomers for as long as they keep coming. The nice thing about abundant families is that, in the end, they will "win". The "losers" are those who limit themselves to one or two--or, none at all: they will die out in a generation or two. It's the pro-lifers who win in the end.
