Perhaps, the only thing more so humanly powerful than motherhood is childhood. Our Moms, including Mother Mary, are sanctified by God to carry us. But, each of us is not only her child (and our father's) but verily God's child, formed by His hands in His inimitable and perfect love. Look in any mirror and just see that great, big chunk of God's love looking back.

I, as does any child, looked to Mom and, as with Mother Mary, find that in her I contemplate my Father - Abba. I celebrate and honor Mom; I adore, worship, praise and serve my Father. I know that whatever else I become, the other roles I play, I am ever child.

Now, Frank (the name of my own deceased father-in-law, and favorite name in my extended maternal birth family) in God's will, graces, mercy and love, make it so. (AND, do remind Whats-his-name that he can realize in joy that he is blessed with two Moms in his life.)
