This is the third time I have seen this article reproduced almost verbatim in a faith based journal.

It saddens me greatly that this nonsense is replicated anywhere - it is patently wrong - the attempt to establsih a link between national health care and eugenics and indeed nazism is asinine - it follows the " all fish swim therefore all things that swim are fish kind of logic" and derves to be dismissed

I would have thought the editors would demonstrate more discernment when examing a topic as vital as health care.

National Health systema are all over the world - Australia, France, Britain, Israel - Americans would do well to look for the truth to their efficiacy rather listen to pooted versions from a political zealot

Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it. Those who lived through the 30's and 40's in Germany will say this smells very familiar.

When Obama advisors talk, I take them at their face value. Read what his Science Czar, John Holdren had to say about forced abortions: http://zombietime.com/john_holdren/

Dr Ezekiel Emmanuel has quite a bit to say about euthanasia too. In an article that he co-authored for the Lancet he wrote:

Allocation of very scarce medical interventions such as organs and vaccines is a persistent ethical challenge. We evaluate eight simple allocation principles that can be classified into four categories: treating people equally, favouring the worst-off, maximising total benefits, and promoting and rewarding social usefulness. No single principle is sufficient to incorporate all morally relevant considerations and therefore individual principles must be combined into multiprinciple allocation systems. We evaluate three systems: the United Network for Organ Sharing points systems, quality-adjusted life-years, and disability-adjusted life-years. We recommend an alternative system—the complete lives system—which prioritises younger people who have not yet lived a complete life, and also incorporates prognosis, save the most lives, lottery, and instrumental value principles.

I try to read primary sources. Glen Beck makes a living talking about certain things. One thing is for certain, nothing he advocates has to do with taking my money and even more importantly, my life.

DWC: I agree that Glenn Beck should not be presumed honest just because he's televised or published -- even here. But he isn't the only or even the first to quote from Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel and Ron Holdren, that they absolutely do not believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all humans, and that they are certain that some of us are better off dead, whether by action or neglect.

Nor is he the first to suggest that President Obama's fiscal policies are at the least very inflationary, if not hyperinflationary. I have had that concern myself from Bush's first stimulus bill -- I called it an inflationary bribe, because that's what it was.

Let's be extremely careful to view what Beck states as pure truth. He, Hannity, Rush, Savage all tend to position themselves on the edge (maybe for attention, maybe it's sincere). I'm no Obama fan ... but neither do I endorse the methods in play today.
