This is a great article. I have been critical here, but now I am pleased to be able to congratulate CE on choosing this article.

I often feel that "Caritas in Veritate" is being neglected in right wing Catholic discussions, as it is reflecting the social teaching of the Church. Perhaps this article will encourage study of this important encyclical.

In this article I read of the respect the Church has for scientists, which is positive.

The two great commandments are love of God and neighbor, love of the environment is not specifically mentioned.

However the Pope is greeen. Not only the Irish should wrap the green flag round them.

So CE, I am not always critical.

Many thanks to Mary for realizing that while I may disagree with minor points, I hope on the essentials I do not wobble.
