I'm glad that you have mentioned the phrases "preventive medicine" and "patient responsibility" in your article.

As a former Big Pharma employee of 22 years, I've seen how the pharma companies have denigrated "preventive medicine" to now only include vaccinations. Actually preventive medicine is much larger in scope and has nothing to do with vaccines, until about a 100 years ago, thanks to Louis Pasteur.

In the larger perspective, preventive medicine is doing the right things to avoid disease. This will include eating the rights foods and avoiding the bad ones. Now, that's patient responsibility. Modern drugs and mainstream medicine have removed this responsibility from people because human psychology is such that when people know that there quick fixes around they can shirk their responsibility for their health. The problem we realize today is that drugs aren't quick fixes at all - unless you consider the premature death, the side effects of drugs bring as a fix.

The runaway costs and total breakdown in mainstream medicine we see today, is because drugs and various medical interventions are not preventive but reactive. People have to take back their God-given responsibility for their health and return to doing things naturally.

This would include eating natural foods (instead of processed foods) and using natural stuff to cure and prevent disease. Every disease known to man is either due to self-sabotaging eating habits or dangerous behavior.

Go natural and see how much your medical care costs will be slashed. That's the reason I set a website to help people be free from the slavery of artificial drugs and myopia of mainstream medicine.

Thank you, Doctor! I hope more people will take the time to learn about and understand what government-run health care will really mean. As a nurse who has lived in border states (with Canada), I've seen patients cross the border and pay out of pocket for surgery that they couldn't wait any longer for in Canada. Socialized healthcare = rationed health care. I've also seen our own veterans on wait lists for YEARS at the VA go to private hospitals and pay for surgery out of pocket. If we socialize, there will be no place to go...
