This man Dionne shows how Obama is good at talking the talk (although Obama did make two bad choices of words) but when walking the walk is concerned, removal of one offending comment from a campaign website does not make up for the mountains of abortion-rights policies already enacted:
http://lifenews.com/obamaabortionrecord.html

The two bad choices were the use of "unintended pregnancies" instead of unwanted
pregnancies" and the leaving out of "embryonic" when talking about how some pro-lifer opposed to all stem cell research on the basis of the sanctitiy of life. He ignores the countless women who did not originally intend a pregnancy that they later cherished.

Perhaps the most telling indictment against Notre Dame is the way it leaves its students in the dark about such things as adult stem cells. At least, that is the impression I got from the tremendous applause that greeted Obama's words that those who "speak out against stem cell research may be rooted in an admirable conviction about the sacredness of life, but so are the parents of a child with juvenile diabetes who are convinced that their son’s or daughter’s hardships can be relieved."

Adult stem cell research respects the sanctity of life, but you would never know it from Obama's words. Nor would you suspect that embryonic stem cells have yet to effect a single cure, and it is the adult stem cells that hold the promise of cures of juvenile diabetes--or any other disease that responds to stem cell therapy.
