wkhaustin,

Surely, those of us who 'go to Christ', pursue Him as He says 'Follow Me!', have all the truth and power of salvation to yield us graces.

But, all judgement lies with Jesus Christ. Who but Jesus can say how He takes how any goes to Him and follows Him but Him as Judge?

The fact is, Jesus gave His sacrifice of Incarnation and His Passionate death for mercy, not simply justice. His Gospel leaves us with some examples to ponder: Peter, who denied Him but was the first to 'Feed My sheep'; Judas, who despaired and stopped going to Jesus, stopped following in discipleship, and paid even with his earthlty life.

Yet, if Judas is currently giving Purgatory a workout, can you deny Christ His merciful ways? He is the very glory of our hope.

Dr. D'Ambriosio, I understand your point regarding followers of Mohammed or Budda or, I assume, believers in the Hindu pantheon who haven't heard the Gospel yet sincerely seek truth and goodness in their faith. What of the followers of other faiths who, having been presented with the Gospel in such a way that they understand its claims and import, reject it and continue to adhere to their existing beliefs? I am not a fan of the "who's going to heaven" game but it would seem that if Christ's words, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me", mean anything then rejecting Him destroys any hope of reaching the Father and by implication Heaven.
