A couple of weeks ago a girl was passing around her cell phone with a photo of a tatooed male reproductive organ. She even showed the teacher! My daughter was upset by this. Since there was no disciplinary action taken, I called and talked to the assistant principal. She basically said that my daughter is sheltered in a good family (abnormal) and kids will be kids. She said that kids will exhibit shocking behavior to elicit a reaction and she thought that the best course of action would be not to do anything. The teacher did privately apologize to my daughter the next day. The kids aren't even supposed to have cell phones in class at all. They could have at least confiscated the phone according to school policy. Our standards aren't slipping, they're in free-fall. Lucky My kids attend Catholic school.
