I was brought to a deeper understanding of the Resurrection by the death of a loved one. I had read it in scripture, I had understood it, I believed it. For many, many years it was clear and indisputable. I would never have believed I could understand it any better, but now I do. To explain it would be hard, except to say it is Hope. A Hope beyond hope. The Truth that Christ is Truth and the Resurrection is without any doubt real. Through this loved one, I stood at the edge of the cliff looking into the grand canyon of death and saw not the end, not any uncertainty of what may come next, but I saw Christ standing on the other side, guiding my loved one to eternity. I will never forget it for it is a gift, a gift of certainty, a gift of Hope.
