Hi,

Not to detract from the article, but here is an excellent resource regarding wheat free allergies. The weekly newsletter is a great start.
www.glutenfree.com

Also the magazines, "Living Without" and "Gluten-Free Living" are also very good.

Best wishes!

Todd,

Welcome to the world of food and environmental allergies! I too am allergic to wheat (and all gluten) cats, mold, dust...but also eggs, diary, wine, some nuts, msg, all food colorings and most additives...

I feel as though it's ALWAYS lent! I have discussed this with God many times. "Why should a woman who makes an effort to receive the Holy Eucharist every day have to cough and sneeze all the way back to her pew!"

His response? "For those I love, I chastise."

I still feel physically pretty rotten most days, but I figure I will have most of my purgatory time done by the time I get there! :-)

I assume Mr. Lemieux, while not having much use for cats, does not eat much cat in conjunction with not eating much ragweed or oak. Being from Long Island he most likely doesn't need to worry about fields of wheat in close proximity as well.
If only a stronger faith and yearning were as easy to catch as airborne allergens. Maybe the medical research crews can come up with a real shot in the arm for that.
