Don, you are so right. Our family offered our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving-- our Todah sacrifice--by participating in mass Thanksgiving morning, as is our habit on that day. We were well nourished for the rest of the day!

Stacy the only other thing, I can leave you is that every family is Incarnate, in that at every Feast of the Lamb of God, we receive into every family the Incarnation, that is Jesus Christ.

Make the Eucharist the heart of your family and it will be a Holy Family.

God bless you and your "Holy Family." I awoke this morning from a bad dream wherein I was reminded of our relative poverty of only having two children - caused because of a selfish, desperate act, sterilization, when our youngest was only 6 months old. I was not a Catholic, or a Christian at that time, but nonetheless the cross I carry and will continue to carry everytime I think of what might have been is heavy and painful ... but seeing the joy and happiness that those of you who have followed God's will experience hurts and gives pleasure to my wounded heart.

May God Keep and Bless You Forever

It's strange, how growing up in a neighborhood of big families, I took that environment for granted. But I can now see that our parents, although, they loved us all, seemed like they had taken on a great burden. It was only later in their lives that they realized that they had received a great treasure chest. But, many sorrows came since many of their children left their Catholic Faith. I see now how that could have been averted with love and prayer....and insight from our parents. I see now that if we, their children, had been cherished and taught to cherish each other, we would have understood the lessons we were taught.

I don't blame them. Our parents, teachers and priests were overwhelmed by all of us all at once and all they knew was to make sure we walked the line so discipline was the first order of the day. I don't mean that anyone beat us, but we were yelled at alot. They didn't know there was another way.

I guess it is up to us who keep the faith to make sure, like Stacy and her family, that we teach our children and grandchildren the True faith through lots of love and patience....and prayer, of course.
