The playing field can be leveled only so that we may seek and find opportunities both for prosperity and charity. Outcomes - 'speading the wealth', anyone? - cannot be justly equalized, and this Gospel message shows that even God won't try to equalize outcomes. At least, in this life - salvation has His way of being the ultimate and eternal equal outcome.
