So often the pathway closest to the Lord is full of shadows. As C.S. Lewis said, "God shouts in our pain." For me, Mary has always been that loving, relational presence. God chose her when it was time to reveal Himself to us in the flesh -- and for good reason. When we are not feeling strong, it is our mother's presence we crave. Glad to hear your hip is sound!
