DECREE ON ECUMENISM
UNITATIS REDINTEGRATIO

INTRODUCTION

1. The restoration of unity among all Christians is one of the principal concerns of the Second Vatican Council. Christ the Lord founded one Church and one Church only. However, many Christian communions present themselves to men as the true inheritors of Jesus Christ; all indeed profess to be followers of the Lord but differ in mind and go their different ways, as if Christ Himself were divided.(1) Such division openly contradicts the will of Christ, scandalizes the world, and damages the holy cause of preaching the Gospel to every creature.

Thank you for this lovely article about a lovely and heroic man. Greatly admired Tony's work, and life. Tony will not be lauded by the Liberal Partisan Press the way they did with Tim Russert, because he was not a NARAL Catholic like Russert was. Russert was full of self promotion, Tony was not. Tony got the truth from everyone he interviewed, Russert got what truth he wanted to shape his presentation of things. Tony is already missed, Russert will be made into a convenient icon for the liberal partisan press. Pray for us all, Tony.

Actually, it was a surprise, because he had hid how truly bad things were for him for some time. I was surprised that it was this ''early.'' And it's more than a disappointment, it's a true loss and grief.

Once again, a commentary on the state of our media. I did not even know Tony Snow was catholic until reading this article. I was a fan of his, and admired him greatly. On the other hand, when Tim Russert died, I heard much commentary on his catholicism, despite the fact he was a liberal who worked on behalf of pro-abortion politicians.

No, didn't know him. But he was one of the people I would dream of having over for dinner.

di·late -lat·ed, -lat·ing.
–verb (used with object)
1. to make wider or larger; cause to expand.
2. Archaic. to describe or develop at length.
–verb (used without object)
3. to spread out; expand.
4. to speak or write at length; expatiate (often fol. by on or upon).

I was a BIG fan of Tony Snow. He was such a terrific man, devoted father, passionate American. His passing is very sad to me; the loss of a public figure in the media rarely brings about much other than "that's too bad" or a quick prayer. I have followed Tony Snow's work for a long time, even before the Bush and Fox News years. He was truly a good guy, and this life is testimony to his courage, humility and faith. This article is a powerful one. Blessings to all.

We have lost both Snow and Tim Russert in the last weeks. Both exemplify how to merge both your faith and your job seamlessly. What great examples these men were.
