I was at a home-school convention with mostly Evangelicals recently. They made some swipes at the Catholic Church, including the charge of legalism. I read the "confessions" of the church that the keynote speaker belonged to. It was a complicated read, and was filled with many conditions and terms. It spoke as much about what they don't believe as to what they do. It made a very specific condemnation of transubstantiation, and referred to our belief in the Eucharist as "blasphemous, gross idolatry". That was amusing to me, because this very same pastor in his keynote talk condemned contemporary Christian music and the "youthful spirit" found in some Evangelical churches as blasphemy. A confused lot they are.

It is a beautiful feast. Jesus remains in us and we remain in Him. What a beautiful love story.
