It's about time. Unfortunately, Archbishop Wuerl in D.C. does not have the same courage. According to Scripture, receiving communion in a state of mortal sin brings condemnation upon you. Bishops and priests must refuse communion to those pro-abortion politicians, not only for the sake of protecting the Eucharist and following the teachings of the Church, but also to protect those folks from bringing condemnation upon themselves. Complacency and political correctness is wreaking havoc in today's Church. What Bishop Naumann has done provides moral clarity to his flock as well as shows that he has the courage to do what's right.

It is a welcome site to see the Archbishop Naumann make such a strong statement to protect and enforce the clear teachings of the Church.
