The Christian’s Last Passover!

Luke 23:46

Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!" And having said this he breathed his last.

Christian life is not to avoid dying but learn how to die well.  One final grace offered by the Church is Viaticum–the Christian's Last Passover and given precisely so that the Christian might die as Christ did–committing himself into God's hands, by the body that died and the blood that was shed to share in our death and raise us to Christ's life.
