I am one of those "praying grandmothers", and I am convinced that God loves them even more than I do, and is using my prayers to affect them……even if I don't see it. 

Btw, I also believe that God hears my prayers for people I don't know (and never will in this life), and for the generations gone before.  As the only Catholic in my family (and one of few in my husband's), we've got a whale of a lot of people we've known and loved who may be in need (some of them in dire need) of prayer.  Who's going to pray for them if I don't?

So, I'm with krby34 and Tarheel: AMEN!
