Good point, slbute---but be careful: Judas was never a "priest". If you look closely, he got up from the table and left the Upper Room before Jesus instituted the First Eucharist!

We need to pray for poor Fr. Gravel and all the other "Father 'Ford's" out there.....and there are many. (I refer to them under the name of Ford, who, in an old commercial, was billed as "having a 'better' idea".)

rosary4peace

Ever wonder why our Lord chose Judas?? Was he trying to warn us that not every priest would be a faithful priest? Not every priest would be a holy priest?

Mr. Gravel's comments are a clear indication that he is no longer Catholic. For his Bishop to maintain him in a state of sin is scandalous. Dick

It is high time we deal with some of these priests. Especially in Quebec the church's stand on moral issues has been watered down badly. Most Quebec Members of Pariliment supported the "gay marriage" bill. Most non-Quebec MP's opposed it. So if, what is by far the most Catholic part of the country, has not ignored Catholic teaching the law would never have passed. This wasn't just in the big urban centers. We are talking small town rural ridings where church leaders have traditionally had the a lot of influence on social matters. This was a very winnable fight and the church was MIA in the province that it should have had the most clout.
