qhrpfu,

You slander the man unless you can provide support for your accusations against Huckabee. Before I decided to vote for him, I went online and googled all the negatives I could find on him (this was before the big national attention hit right before Iowa) and with due diligence (research) was satisfied that it was mostly political garbage and some inexperience. Sure enough, the exact same slams used against him by the opposition in AR, are the ones being used to hit nationally.

While I am not about to canonize Huckabee, I will acknowledge that he is not perfect - he is certainly the best option among the top tier candidates. Especially if, like me, your top voting priority is judicial appointments. I don't have room to cover it all, but when you look at all the people in high places (on the worldly scale) who are targeting him right now, clearly there is something RIGHT with him!

Negative ads are sinful when they deliberately only tell part of the truth to lead people to a conclusion they would not have formed if they had the whole picture. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/romney_on_huckabee_ii.html Lying with the truth is how the devil led our first parents astray...

Negative ads are sinful when they deliberately only tell part of the truth to lead people to a conclusion they would not have formed if they had the whole picture. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/romney_on_huckabee_ii.html Lying with the truth is how the devil led our first parents astray…

This is one devout Catholic who is not pleased with your reference to the saintly Paul VI, whose every published word while pope I have read, when speaking of the Clintonesque Gov. Huckabee. THis is not a man who is worried about his gospel conformity, but one willing to grab the wide-eyed by the nose to accomplish his goals, which are not always moral in my view. If you want a good man for the job, why not the good Catholic Duncan Hunter? If you want a good conservative, why not Fred Thompson? Huck is a shill for the Clinton's, if you've done your homework, and wants to split the Repubs vote through religious dissention. Like Obama, he was never meant to win.

Negative ads are not per se immoral or sinful, as the Huck would have you believe right now. Only when you lie is that true. To draw attention to an opponent's record or policies is what the search for understanding is all about. Pope Paul VI was against the modern political perchant for "sloganeering" or what we would call the 30-second sound bite. If your decision is being hurried, it is usually by the guy with something to hide. But if it helps, I found the Huck attractive for awhile too.
