Great. More, more, more articles by Hebrew Catholics on this subject.

I have just finished reading "Completed Jew" (Andrew Shool), "Christ Prophisized in Jewish Feast Days" (Miller), and "Salvation is from the Jews" (Roy Schoeman). I have "Never Revoked" by Jacob Michael on order.

There is a woeful, sometimes harmful, lack of understanding and misunderstanding on the part of Christians in general and Catholics in particular as to the role Jews and Judiasm played in making us what what we are today. As a convert to Catholicism I can see where Judiasm had a much, much greater impact on the formation of the Catholic Church than it has on the Protestant Church. I suppose that is natural since the Catholic Church literally evolved from Judiasm, or, put another way perhaps more palatable to Catholics, Catholicism completed Judaism.

Hebrew Catholics have a richer understanding of Old Testament teaching and a much better understanding of how that led to what Catholics believe and why they believe it, than the typical Catholic. I have learned a great deal about my faith from Hebrew Catholics.

I also had the pleasure of discussing their "conversion" to Catholicism with a half-dozen Hebrew Catholics and why they do not feel they "converted" from anything to anything. They merely completed their role as Gods's Chosen People by accepting Jesus Christ as God's Messiah. They feel they did not convert any more than Peter, Paul, John, Luke, Stephen, or Mark - or the Virgin Mary. We gentiles are the one's that converted - they just completed. They are correct.

I hope that CE will publish more articles by Schoeman, Sholl and Michael to help Catholics better understand themselves, the roots of their Church, and Jews. Ask Roy Schoeman if he would elaborate on his love for the Blessed Mother and how she is active bringing Jews to her Son. See if you can get either Shool or Shoeman to explain why the Holacaust, even beyond murder of six million Jews (as if more was needed), was such a crippling blow to the Jews faith in their God. It is truly heart-breaking, and something gentiles should understand.

Great start CE. Keep it coming. CE is an excellent platform to bring a better understanding to Catholics of a very, very important part of our Faith.

This is one of the most amazing articles I have ever read. A "typical" Catholic, I have had a very limited exposure to and understanding of the Bible, esp. the Old Testament. However, everything in this article parallels and directly speaks to the interior spiritual journey I have been on lately. It is like I see what I am experiencing in my spiritual life mapped out throughout salvation history. Thank you for this lovely exposition of God's loving Mercy to the world.
