I was in a cloistered monastery as a postulant and the description of what he finds there sounds perfect and true. The only problem I can see with this film is the length of it and lack of visual or audio stimulation which most secular audiences will need to get through it. Of course, the idea of the producer was to leave out music and dramatic influence to help people get the real sense of monastic life and find God in that silence. God will certainly reach people through this film whether or not it's perfect.

God loves you .

Silence unto simplicity, thence to humility, and, perhaps, even restored innocence.

FYI - Another term for non-diegetic sound is commentary sound. Another term for diegetic sound is actual sound. Both terms seem to be tied to movie-making. Diegesis is a Greek word for "recounted story".

Remember, I love you, too

Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ,
