This disobedient spirit is why we become less and less civilized, more and more just flying down the slippery slope. I never agreed with the civil-disobedience dicta of Gandhi and King for the simple fact that the sole valid response to the Decalogue is obedience. Their very attitude is ‘Goin’ to change things, and change ‘em NOW, and no matter how it gets done’. Perhaps it is meant to be illuminating that both were gunned down.

Disobedience is immoral, period. There is no value in fighting immorality with immorality. It is misguided leadership, a la marxist socialism. It is DEAD WRONG.

Obedience is the most vital virtue attendant to civilization.

These little old ladies, like contemplative cloistered orders, are the ‘trees’ of Christianity, who take in the ‘carbon dioxide/poisons’ with which our sins taint the environs and economy of life, and yield ‘life-grace-supporting/oxygen’. More numerous than cloistered religious, they are living indulgences, mitigating Purgatory’s way with us. What, just WHAT, do we do when we run out of little old ladies with their beads and devotions, eh?
